Alexey Ilkayev

A street-art artist from Perm who tries himself in digital art creating mems, GIFs and other works. Ilkayev is a participant of high-profile exhibition projects: PERMM (Museum of Contemporary Art) «Anonymous» (2012) и «Promise of the landscape» (2015). Alexey Ilkayev is an author of private projects in «GREEN ART» gallery («Black & White», 2012) and laboratory of contemporary art «Loader’s House» («Down with Gloom», 2017), a student of «ArtPolitics» school of contemporary art (2012), resident artist of PERMM museum (2012) and  Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art «Typography» (2012) together with ZIP art-band. In December 2014 together with Aleksey Schigalev and Maxim Cherny they opened an independent art-space “Loader’s House” — a laboratory of contemporary art, where they arranged young artists exhibitions during three years. Alexey Ilkayev worked under numerous pseudonyms: Alexey Go, Sad Face, Lekha Trigande, Alex Vens, Ayven Go, Lyeva Ostrovskikh, each of which marked a certain milestone in his work. In his time Sad Face confused the whole city with a monochrome virus attack – he painted everywhere black-and-white sad faces. Having become a true celebrity, Alexey went off the grid for a couple of years. In the meantime, his frescos appeared in the streets of Moscow, Krasnodar, Saint-Petersburg, Kazan and Crimea.
